Getting started
You need a Solana wallet with some SOL in it. That's it.
1. Get a Solana wallet
Install Phantom (or Solflare, Backpack, or any Solana wallet extension) and fund it with some SOL.
2. Connect your wallet
Open the terminal and click Connect Wallet. Your wallet extension will prompt you to approve the connection. This only shares your public address, never your private key.
3. Make your first buy
- Make sure the Buy tab is selected.
- Enter how much SOL you want to spend, or use the 25%/50%/75%/Max quick-amount buttons.
- Check Est. tokens out and Price impact before confirming: bigger buys move the price more, by design (see Bonding Curve Mechanics).
- Click Buy, then approve the transaction in your wallet popup.
If this is the very first buy ever against the curve, this same transaction also creates the curve itself. You don't need a separate "launch" step.
4. Understand slippage tolerance
Between the moment you see a quote and the moment your transaction lands, someone else's trade might move the price. Slippage tolerance sets how much worse a price you're willing to accept before the transaction reverts instead of executing at a worse rate than you expected. 1% is a reasonable default for normal-sized trades.
5. Selling
Switch to the Sell tab, enter how many tokens to sell, and confirm. You can sell anytime until the curve completes; see The Jackpot for what happens then.
